I’ve been taking Spanish classes with Astrid for almost two years, and she is truly an outstanding teacher. As an attorney, it was important to me to learn Spanish that is both professional and accessible for my clients. On a personal level I’m also learning Spanish to communicate with family and friends. Astrid has gone above and beyond to tailor lessons to those needs, even creating practical language I can confidently use in my work.

I’m Puerto Rican so she also takes the time to research Puerto Rican vocabulary and expressions, helping me understand the cultural and regional differences across Latin America. Her classes are flexible, engaging, and always personalized to my goals. Beyond grammar, she brings warmth, culture, and real-world application into every lesson!!

Taking Spanish lessons with Astrid has been an excellent experience. Her teaching style is clear, patient, and engaging. The lessons are productive and enjoyable. I had a lot of prior knowledge of Spanish so she and I tend to just talk and have conversations about every topic under the sun. Learning and staying current with foreign languages takes regular practice. When you don't practice, you tend to lose or forget what you knew. These lessons bridge that gap for me. Sometimes, our lessons are somewhat formal with Astrid selecting a specific topic or skill to work on, and other times we just end up having free-roaming conversations about any number of things - Astrid is knowledgeable on many topics and is a very thoughtful and engaging conversation partner.
